Hosting

This website and its self-hosted analytics services run on Hostinger infrastructure. Delivering the website involves processing connection information such as your IP address, the requested URL, access time, browser information and response status. Technical logs support availability, security and troubleshooting.

Where personal data is processed for these purposes, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website.

To complete: contracting Hostinger entity, server location, log retention, processing agreement and any applicable international-transfer safeguards.

Contacting me

If you contact me by email or phone, I process the contact details and information you provide to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries concerning a contract or steps before a contract, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other correspondence, based on my legitimate interest in responding.

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve the enquiry. Information required for statutory record-keeping or legal claims is retained for the applicable period and then deleted.

Self-hosted analytics

Plausible Analytics and Rybbit are intended to help me understand website usage and improve the site. Both installations are hosted on my Hostinger infrastructure, rather than their vendors’ cloud analytics services.

Plausible’s standard cookieless measurement produces statistics about page visits, referrals, browsers, devices and approximate location. Its standard implementation uses connection information to derive short-lived visitor identifiers rather than storing raw IP addresses in its analytics database. Hosting logs must be considered separately.

Rybbit can measure page views and technical usage information. Its optional event tracking, user identification and session replay features depend on the installation settings.

To complete: actual tracked fields and events, identifiers, enabled Rybbit features, retention for each installation, and the applicable legal basis and consent requirements. Cookieless operation alone does not establish that every configuration is consent-free. No analytics scripts are currently included in this local website build.

Fonts and external links

The portfolio hosts its typefaces locally. Loading the pages does not contact Google Fonts or other third-party font servers. The Privacy and Imprint pages use system fonts.

Links to X and LinkedIn lead to external websites. Following a link opens the respective provider’s website, where its privacy information applies.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the EU member state of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement. To exercise your rights, contact hello@juliu.sh.
